Should I ever use a paranormal investigation team?
(This is a long topic, but extremely important. We advise you to please read carefully.)
Do you remember when you read the warnings on the main page of the website? One of the warnings said that this site will ‘anger people' or make some people 'feel threatened.’ Well, the answer to this question might do that.
There are many people who have started making money off of the recent excitement over ‘paranormal’ phenomenon. For example, a location in West Virginia is generating between 600,000 and 700,000 dollars a year by allowing paranormal investigations of an old property. They even have kids coming for ‘spooky’ campout events on the property. Paranormal investigation teams are now featured on at least 4 cable television stations, generating powerful revenue streams for the networks. The property owners in West Virginia have allowed a number of the cable television paranormal teams to film on their location, but will not allow one specific team onto the property. The team that they will not allow on the property is a team that specializes in ‘removing’ spirits. The owners of the property do not want any spirits to leave, because they are making a lot of money off of the situation. They make this money with no regard for the danger to visitors, especially the young children who come for various children’s programs. Spirits are having a field day with this arrangement. As visitors come, they build more and more curiosity into the paranormal spirit world. This opens up hundreds of thousands of people to spirit suggestion every year.
The BAD – Some paranormal investigation teams are only in it to use your situation for their notoriety. They really have no way of helping you. They are only looking for places to find new spirits. They capture EVP’s and video evidence, and then they recommend some form of ‘spirit pleasing’ ceremony. Sometimes they will even provide serious misinformation by telling the property owners that the spirits are harmless. The spirits go along with the investigation, allowing more ‘evidence’ to be captured. But this does nothing to eliminate the spirits from the location, and usually just makes the homeowners more susceptible to doing what the spirits want. See the answers in the FAQ sections to questions about ‘spirit pleasing’ ceremonies. It is our strong opinion that paranormal investigation teams that try to ‘please’ spirits are extremely dangerous.
The GOOD – There have been well documented cases of paranormal teams that have discovered high levels of carbon monoxide or dangerous electromagnetic fields in certain locations. These teams understand that some paranormal activities may be ‘illusions’ that are being triggered by other issues in the building. They are willing to test all possibilities and sometimes help uncover these dangerous situations. There are also some paranormal investigation teams that specialize in ‘fighting’ against the spirits, rather than trying to ‘please’ them. There is a major difference between trying to ‘please’ spirits and ‘fighting’ against them. If you ever decide to use a paranormal investigation team, be certain that the team is not going to do more harm than good.
