There are a number of definitions for the term Paranormal.  When analyzing the definitions comprehensively, the term Paranormal can be summarized as the following: 

- Not scientifically explainable. 
- Events such as apparitions, voices, the movement of objects, and others that are beyond scientific explanation.

It would be near impossible to accurately share the first ever accounts of paranormal activity.  Some of the earliest historical documents in the world, including religious texts, reference activity that would fit the definition of Paranormal.  With modern technology, and increased fascination with the subject, more and more people are witnessing and recording paranormal activity.  But it is safe to say that paranormal activity has been going on around us for thousands of years.    

Most who study paranormal activity agree that there are often ‘intelligent spirits’ behind the events.  Historical religious texts also point to ‘spirits’ that are working on earth.  There are some instances in which the illusion of paranormal activity can be attributed to high electromagnetic fields or other environmental factors.  This website will focus on paranormal activity attributed to intelligent spirits.  For the material on this website, we use the word ‘spirit’ to speak of entities with evil intentions.  The word ‘Angel’ is clarified in the 'Good vs Evil Spirits' section.
